Hi, I'm Delano.

I've been part of church life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a musical family, and from an early age my father taught me the craft of live mixing and the technology behind it. Alongside that, music was my great passion — and, appropriately, the piano (which conveniently rhymes with my name).

I still remember starting to program as an eight-year-old boy. Ever since, I've been fascinated by software and products that feel good to use: they should look beautiful, but above all they should be genuinely helpful.

After more than a decade in industrial product development, IoT, and full-stack software, I created ProWeave. By 2025 everyone was talking about AI and how it would reshape our lives. I was looking for a practical application, and started experimenting with a local AI assistant for worship teams. It worked better than I expected. Combined with my frustration at the (mental) complexity of so much presentation software — and the high prices often charged for planning tools — that led me to ProWeave.
